Relationship Between Language and Education Dr. Monika Rani, Assistant Professor, M.M. College of Education, Fatehabad, Haryana ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Language is essential to education because it facilitates communication, instruction, and cognitive growth. It has an impact on students' comprehension, critical thinking, and academic performance. Language policies are essential in determining educational fairness in multilingual cultures. According to many researches, early childhood education that is grounded in the mother tongue promotes improved cognitive development and conceptual understanding. Although it necessitates qualified educators, suitable resources, and encouraging regulations, multilingual education fosters cultural identification and inclusivity. Higher dropout rates result from academic challenges experienced by students who have trouble understanding the language of instruction. Education systems must encourage multilingual education, establish inclusive language policies, and provide teachers with the tools they need to handle linguistic variety in order to address this. Fostering fair, efficient, and culturally sensitive learning settings that support lifelong learning and social advancement requires an understanding of the close connection between language and education.

The purpose of this study was to determine the attitudes of general education teachers regarding the use of assistive technology in their classrooms by children with special needs. Assistive technology plays a crucial role in enhancing the learning experience of students with diverse disabilities, including physical, sensory, cognitive, and communication impairments. A five-point Likert scale was used to assess teachers' perceptions, comfort levels, and willingness to integrate assistive technology into their teaching practices. The participants in this study were general education teachers from elementary and secondary schools in a sirsa district in Haryana. The survey aimed to collect data on teachers' attitudes toward incorporating assistive technology to support the academic growth and inclusion of children with special needs in mainstream classrooms. The hypothesis proposed that general education teachers would have a positive attitude toward the use of assistive technology by children with special needs, recognizing its benefits in fostering accessibility, engagement, and independent learning. The findings of the study supported this hypothesis, revealing that most teachers acknowledged the value of assistive technology in addressing the diverse learning needs of their students. However, some concerns were raised regarding the availability of resources, training, and technical support required for effective implementation. This study highlights the importance of professional development programs to enhance teachers' confidence and competence in utilizing assistive technology. By fostering a more inclusive educational environment, assistive technology can empower children with special needs to participate fully in the learning process and achieve their academic potential.

The paper is related with the inclusion of experiential learning in curriculum for special education teacher training courses and discusses that how experiential learning is effective in enhancing academic achievement, self-confidence, mastery over the content, self-management and quality of leadership in children with visual impairment. Experiential learning includes engaging the students in direct experience and is focused in developing knowledge, understanding, skill and co-operation. The approach of teaching in experiential classroom is different than traditional classroom. Experiential learning activities for normal children are helpful in learning through experiences, systematize their work, evaluating their own performance and furnish a suitable direction for long term learning. If we throw light on the chapter IV of RPWD there is a provision that government shall provide formal and non-formal vocational and skill training schemes and programmes of person with disability with sufficient support. As a result if experiential learning is included in teacher training courses for special education, than it may prove a potential tool for enhancing learning experiences of children with visual impairment. This paper proposes that experiential learning should be made a part of teacher training courses for teacher educators at D.Ed., B.Ed. and M.Ed. level. The possible benefits of inclusion of experiential learning would lead to enhance academic achievement of children with visual impairments and help them to retain material relatively for longer period of time. The paper concludes that RCI may modify its teacher education curriculum to incorporate experiential learning a mandatory part in all teacher training courses.

The findings reveal various technological, pedagogical, and socio-economic challenges that hinder effective digital learning implementation. Limited access to reliable internet, inadequate training in digital pedagogy, and resistance to technology due to a lack of familiarity are among the primary obstacles. Additionally, socio-economic disparities further widen the digital divide, making it difficult for teachers and students from underprivileged backgrounds to benefit fully from e-learning. To address these challenges, the study proposes solutions such as improving infrastructure, offering teacher training programs, and fostering a supportive institutional environment. These measures can help bridge the gap and enhance digital education in the region.

A Correlational Study of Emotional Intelligence, Self-Efficacy, and Leadership Potential in Student Teachers MEGHA LAXMAN WANKHEDE, RESEARCH SCHOLAR, DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, GLOCAL UNIVERSITY, SAHARANPUR, UTTAR PRADESH | DR. VIKESH KAMRA, PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, GLOCAL UNIVERSITY, SAHARANPUR, UTTAR PRADESH ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
In this research, emotional intelligence, self-efficacy and potential leadership among student teachers are explored. As a matter of fact, emotional intelligence (EI) is increasingly promoted as a key determinant in effective leadership and good teaching practice. The purpose of this research is to investigate how EI, if any, affects self-efficacy beliefs and leadership potential of persons undergoing teacher training. Data were collected by using a correlational research design with student teachers in teacher education programs. The participants were administered validated scales of emotional intelligence, self‐efficacy and leadership potential. The results show positive relationships to self-efficacy and leadership potential with emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence was positively correlated with high levels of confidence around their ability to teach and have strong leadership skills. The results suggest that greater emotional intelligence in teacher education programs may improve future educators' self-efficacy, leadership ability, and thus, more effective teaching and classroom management. It concludes that emotional intelligence must be incorporated into teacher training curricula as a means of educating educators that are well rounded and capable.

In order to comprehend the culture of the school, it is vital to have a fundamental comprehension of the concept of culture. Because many individuals and establishments each have their own point of view on what constitutes culture, the concept of culture is one that is not only exceedingly broad but also somewhat difficult to comprehend. The fact that it is an abstract concept, which makes it more difficult to understand, is one explanation for this phenomenon. Culture is a concept that originates from a certain culture; it is communicated via our ideas, beliefs, and actions; and it influences both our way of thinking and the way we behave. Culture is a reflection of an individual's whole cultural experiences, and as such, it can be seen in a person's personality and character. This is because culture is a mirror of an individual's cultural experiences. The objects, the values that are cherished, and the presumptions that are accepted without question make up the three levels that mak

Low household income, lack of formal higher education, low occupational status, and parental participation are among the many factors that greatly affect children's academic ability. Particularly for youngsters, the combination of a low income and an incomplete secondary education is a strong predictor of poor psychological, emotional, and intellectual health. This indicates that when parents who have been successful in school help and direct their children to do the same, the outcomes will be highly encouraging.

Study on Self-Efficacy of Teachers in Teaching Amila Huidrom, Research Scholar, Department of Education, SunRise University, Alwar, Rajasthan (India) | Dr. Neetu Yadav, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, SunRise University, Alwar, Rajasthan (India) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
Teachers’ effectiveness depends on various things and self-efficacy is one of them. The construct of self-efficacy was coined by psychologist Albert Bandura in his social cognitive theory. Self-efficacy refers to one’s belief about his/her capabilities to accomplish specific tasks. Teachers who have a high sense of belief in their teaching capabilities will achieve higher goals while teachers who have a low sense of belief in their capabilities will be under the shadow of fear of failures. Over the last four decades, researchers have thrown the light on teachers’ self-efficacy in teaching and learning and established it as one of the important effective constructs. Self-efficacy plays a vital role for teachers to accomplish their goals, tasks, and how they approach instructional challenges. Teachers with a low self-efficacy evade challenging activities, take creative activities and situations as difficult to do, take most of the things negative and lose confidence in their abilities while teachers with a high self efficacy welcome challenging activities as to be mastered, create deeper interest in their activities, develops a high sense of commitments and mend swiftly from failures. The purpose of this study is to review the construct of teachers’ self-efficacy and its importance in teachers’ effectiveness.

This study examines the contribution of emotional intelligence (EI) to self-efficacy and leadership effectiveness in student teachers. Emotional intelligence, which involves the ability to recognize, understand, and manage one’s own emotions as well as the emotions of others, has been linked to various positive outcomes in educational settings. The study utilizes a correlational research design, surveying 175 student teachers to assess their emotional intelligence, self-efficacy, and perceived leadership effectiveness. The results show a significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and both self-efficacy and leadership effectiveness. Specifically, student teachers with higher emotional intelligence exhibited greater confidence in their teaching abilities (self-efficacy) and demonstrated more effective leadership qualities in the classroom. These findings suggest that emotional intelligence plays a pivotal role in enhancing student teachers’ sense of competence and their ability to lead effectively. The study highlights the importance of incorporating emotional intelligence training in teacher education programs to foster confident, capable, and effective future educators. Implications for teacher development and educational leadership are discussed, with recommendations for integrating emotional intelligence development into teacher preparation curricula to enhance both personal and professional growth.
